If you would like a critique from a reviewer/editor's perspective but aren't looking for a full edit? A critique might be just what you need. In the critique process I look at a book from a reviewer's standpoint, make suggestions to help polish the story, characterization and setting and do a light edit of obvious issues such as spelling, punctuation, time line tracking and point of view changes.

What is a Writing Challenge Week? If you are a first time author who wants to get started on writing a book or have a book you've been thinking of writing, or one you just need a little push to get to polishing for submission these may be the weeks for you. Each author commits to a minimum of 1,000 words a day for seven days. At the end, Skylar, Angie or I do a free critique for one of the participants based on a simple contest.
